Switch to Automatic Mode

The feature to switch the calculation mode to Automatic allows you to set the calculation mode for all formulas in the workbook to Automatic. This means that whenever there is a change in the data, all formulas will be recalculated automatically. This feature is particularly useful for large and complex workbooks, where it may be challenging to keep track of which formulas need to be updated. By setting the calculation mode to Automatic, you can ensure that all formulas are always up-to-date and that you can rely on the accuracy of the calculations.

Switch to Manual Mode (F9)

The option to switch the Calculation mode to Manual allows you to manually control when cell formulas are evaluated in a workbook. When this feature is enabled, cell formulas are not evaluated automatically, and you must use the F9 key to recalculate formulas. This can be useful for workbooks that contain a large number of complex calculations that may slow down the performance of the workbook. By switching to Manual calculation mode, you can work more efficiently by evaluating formulas only when necessary. However, you should remember to recalculate formulas when necessary to ensure that the results are up to date.

Calculate Selected Range

The Calculate Range feature allows you to only calculate the formulas within a selected range of cells. This is particularly useful for large spreadsheets where the calculation of all formulas in the workbook may take some time. Instead of calculating everything, you can select a specific range of cells and only calculate the formulas within that range. This can save time and improve the overall efficiency of working with the workbook.
