Named Ranges

When cleaning up Excel files, this feature allows you to show all hidden named ranges and delete them.

Named Ranges in Excel are a feature that allows you to assign a meaningful name to a specific range of cells, a formula, or a constant. This can make it easier to understand and manage data, especially in complex spreadsheets.

As named ranges are not readily visible (and can sometimes be hidden), they are often a source of broken data links and various errors.

Tools in this feature:

Unhide All Named Ranges

The feature makes all named ranges in the current workbook “Visible” and is useful when working with a large workbook where specific parts were copied over from other workbooks.

Delete All Named Ranges

The Delete All tool allows you to remove all named ranges within the workbook. This can be useful when you want to simplify you workbook or clean up unnecessary or broken named ranges. However, it is important to note that this action cannot be undone, so you should use caution when deleting named ranges.
